Weekly Sessions
So that we are able to gain a mix of development for players who wish to progress in the sport and those that just want to play recreationally, we will be holding 2 evening sessions each week, designed to welcome everyone.
- Monday 6pm till 8:30pm: Development sessions. Perfect for beginners and aspiring competitors, learn the game, sharpen your skills and progress at your own pace.
- Thursday 6pm till 8:30pm: Open play sessions. Jump straight into the action. Fast paced matches, friendly competition and plenty of fun.
Both sessions are open to all, come along, meet the team and discover why Showdown is one of the fastest growing sports for blind and visually impaired players.
To support the development of the club with purchasing new equipment and renting the room we ask for a £2 donation for each session.
All sessions are held at Bury Blind Society: 4 Tenterden Street, Bury, BL9 0EG
Club Competitions
Throughout the year a club league table will be run and updated weekly. All those who attend weekly sessions will be entered into the club competition.
Games played each week will be recorded and the results used to build a running league table. With 1 point awarded for a win. Goal difference and number of games played will be used to separate any tie.
The standings of the club league table will be used to select players to represent the club at competitions. The only exception to this rule will be that whilst sighted players can take part at club level, when it comes to representing the club at national competition the team places will be limited to players who are either B1, B2 or B3 in sight classification as per the rules of the competition.
